The Student Support Centre Clean Trunks to Raise Funds for World Vision
Clean trunks and bonnets
OFFICE staff got their hands dirty with a car wash to fund a project aimed at deterring elephants from attacking villages.
Workers at The Student Support Centre, in Cheshire House, Chester Hall Lane, Basildon, held the event in aid of the World Vision Elephant Deterrent Project.
The scheme, based in Nalitabari, an impoverished part of Bangladesh, helps stop wild elephants approaching populated areas.
Cash raised from the day will help pay for special lights, which help keep the animals away.
